23 August 2023 – Attacq Limited (“Attacq”), the JSE-listed REIT developing Waterfall City, is proud to announce that its CFO, Raj Nana, has been nominated for the prestigious CFO of the Year award at the upcoming 10th Annual CFO Awards. He joins a distinguished list of finance executives competing for the coveted award which underscores his role as a driving force in Attacq’s strong financial and operational performance and his contributions to the success of the broader business.
The CFO Awards celebrate excellence in the financial sector and the 2023 edition marks the tenth year of its existence. The awards not only honour the country’s high performing finance professionals for the current year but also recognise the enormous contribution they have made to the economy over the last decade.
Reflecting on his nomination, Raj Nana said, “I am truly humbled and grateful for the nomination, especially considering the other nominees and previous winners, all of which, are truly remarkable.”
Raj joined Attacq in 2014, a few months following the Group’s listing on the JSE. He joined in the role of an investment officer, with his responsibilities focusing on the Group’s funding, deal structuring and assessing property development opportunities.
Prior to joining Attacq, Raj’s career was largely in investment banking, having spent some time at Rand Merchant Bank followed by Absa Capital where he worked in Leveraged Finance as a Transactor. In 2018, he took up the role as Attacq’s CFO and executive director.The annual CFO Awards are organised by CFO South Africa, the organisation that connects finance professionals through executive events and the quarterly CFO Magazine.
