Celebrating the Women of Attacq
During the month of August, the women of Attacq connected at various initiatives across the country. Women were treated to flowers and care-packs and the women of Attacq Nexus enjoyed a luncheon at the Ellipse Luna Club, Olives & Plates restaurant. As we celebrated one another and solicited courageous conversations, we also commemorated the women who valiantly put their lives on the line to fight against oppressive
laws on 9th August 1956, and remembered the songs of “Wathint’Abafazi Wathint’imbokodo”, loosely translated into, “Now you have touched the women, you have struck a rock”. Sharing in smiles and appreciation, the women of Attacq stood together in solidarity, and we contemplated our collective contributions in society as the courageous and inspiring leaders of tomorrow.
