29 October 2018. Mall of Africa, in partnership with Lexus and HAIG CLUB hosted the GQ Best Dressed Men of the Year Awards, where South Africa’s top 10 stylish men were crowned, on Saturday night.
The annual GQ Best Dressed Men of the Year awards are an annual event, which takes place to recognize the trailblazers and trendsetters in men’s fashion. This is the 13th anniversary of the awards.
Mall of Africa hosted 300 dapper gentlemen, at the exclusive event, where the top 10 most stylish men were chosen out of 50 contesters. The nominees are all men who have made their mark in the fields of business, fashion, media, sports and the arts. The judges panel consisted of GQ’s editors, past winners as well as influential figures from various industries. The host for the evening was E! Entertainment presenter, Kat Sinivasan.
Shezi.ink creative director, Seth Shezi was crowned the overall winner, while the remaining nine nominees included: Anele Papu, Zareef Minty, Fhatuwani Mukheli, Theo Ngobeni, Zothile “Solo” Langa, Thabiso Makhubela, Hamilton Ngubo, Brian Lehang and Nkululeko “Nkuli M” Tshirumbula.
The Mall of Africa has become the home of premier lifestyle events, including the Prestigious National Antique and Decorative Arts Faire, Glamour Woman of the Year 2018 as well as the three editions of the Africa Art Seasons Collection in partnership with the Julie Miller Investment Art Institute, to name a few.

The event precedes the launch of the November 2018 issue of GQ, on shelf on 29 October 2018, which features full interviews with the top 10 winners, along with a comprehensive list of the 50 nominees.
